WHO IS
LISA JEFFERSON?
Lisa Jefferson is a proud Houston native with a lifelong commitment to serving her community. A graduate of Klein Forest High School, Lisa went on to study Criminal Justice at Prairie View A&M University, laying a strong foundation for the career path that would shape her passion for public service.
With more than 15 years of experience in Human Resources and 13 years in the Justice of the Peace system, Lisa has dedicated her professional life to supporting the people of Harris County. She has worked alongside nine Judges across five Harris County Justice of the Peace Courts, gaining invaluable insight into fair judicial practices and the day-to-day needs of the community.

Throughout her career, Lisa has collaborated closely with criminal and civil defense attorneys, Harris County prosecutors, and numerous litigation teams, giving her a deep understanding of the justice system from every angle.
​
Lisa’s journey in the courts began in June 2012 when she accepted a position as a Court Clerk. Through hard work, integrity, and a genuine passion for justice, she advanced through multiple roles, ultimately earning the position of Chief Clerk of a Justice of the Peace Court. Her extensive courtroom experience, leadership ability, and strong knowledge of judicial procedure have made her a respected figure in the legal community.

Now, Lisa is ready to bring her direct justice of the peace experience, sincere compassion, equality across the board, high integrity, utmost professionalism to the be an example to our youth, and complete dedication to the bench as she seeks election as Justice of the Peace for Precinct 5, Place 2. She is committed to serving all residents of Harris County with fairness, respect, integrity, and impartiality, while upholding the ethical standards of Texas Justice Courts. Her love for her community and her unwavering belief in equal access to justice fuel her commitment to lead with patience, understanding, and a true servant’s heart.

I officially submitted my application to the Harris County Democratic Party - HCDP to have my name placed on the 2026 Primary election ballot for JUDGE for JUSTICE OF THE PEACE, Precinct 5 Place 2.
My family showed unwavering support and joined me in celebrating this significant occasion. I am committed to serving the constituents of Precinct 5 with compassion, integrity, and a commitment to upholding the law and adhering to the ethical standards of the Texas Justice Courts. Precinct 5 requires a leader who can remain impartial and ensure equal access to all who seek justice in the court.
